The Activator project is an effort of evolution of experiential virtual reality with the aim of learning, familiarizing minors and adults with new technologies, disseminating knowledge, developing research and entertainment. The proposed project aims to bring together educational, cultural and research bodies as well as businesses active in the fields of culture, tourism, education and information technology with the ultimate goal of promoting science, technology and culture in the past, in the present and in the future, through targeted actions of research and development of Experiential Virtual Reality 4D technologies. In addition to the main outcome of the Project that will be implemented with the aim of its immediate implementation at the NOISIS Museum of Technology, the material and software produced under the Project will be promoted to commercial exploitation by partner organizations aiming at its use by museums, educators and cultural organizations both in Greece and abroad.
The user beyond the three-dimensional view and control of the view already provide existing Virtual Reality (VR) applications and will have full physical feedback through specialized motion, rotation, control and dynamic feedback simulation equipment As such, experiencing physically the experiences in which she participates.
The envisaged prototype will be demonstrated at NOESIS Science Center and Technology Museum.
